Purpose and Legal Basis
We will process personal data that is necessary to complete services requested by data subjects - this includes event registration, filling out nametags, and enrolling in mailing lists. We will not enroll you in a mailing list related to the IGF Ireland without your consent. If you have provided this consent, you may withdraw it at any point, and we will remove you from any mailing list.
We will collect personal data related to dietary restrictions for the purpose of accommodating attendees by giving vendors a broad overview of the types of dietary restrictions they must prepare for. Providing this information is optional and only collected with your consent.
Types of Personal Data Processed
In order for us to complete the event registration process, we require your name and email address. This is to register you for the event, and to send you your tickets. We will also use your name to check attendees at the door, and to provide you with a name tag for the event. You may provide us with any alternative preferred names for your name tag, as well as any job title, or organisation you wish to be displayed on the name tag.
Other Recipients
We use Eventbrite to manage the event registration process for the IGF Ireland, and attendees are asked to register for the event through Eventbrite. Dietary restrictions will also be communicated to catering vendors, but only to provide general numbers of dietary restrictions. No personally identifiable information related to dietary restrictions will be disclosed. We may disclose your personal data to third parties to comply with any legal or regulatory obligations, to carry out any contractual obligations or relevant agreement with you, or to protect and defend the rights of the data controller (IE Domain Registry CLG).
Retention
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. Information that was collected in order to register you for any event will be deleted following the event. This includes information like your name, contact info, and any information you provided us for nametags. If you provide your contact information to subscribe to a mailing list, your information will be kept for as long as you choose to be subscribed to the mailing list.
Storage and Security
The data controller, (IE Domain Registry CLG), is ISO 27001 accredited and uses a variety of technological and organisational measures to protect all data held within its systems from unauthorised access and use. Personal data will be stored securely with access to it restricted to those with a legitimate purpose, such as the IGF Ireland Coordinator.
We cannot guarantee the security of your personal data transmitted to our Website, nor can we guarantee that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the internet. any transmission of personal data is at your own risk.
You acknowledge there are security and privacy limitations of the internet beyond our control, and that the security, integrity and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and our Website cannot be guaranteed, and that information and personal data can be viewed or tampered with by third-parties, despite best efforts.

We have the right to refuse your request where there is a basis to do so in law, or if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, or to the extent necessary for public interest objectives. You may at any time request a copy of any of your personal data that we hold.
If at any time after giving us personal data you decide that you no longer wish us to hold or use this information, or in the case that the information becomes out of date, you should notify us, and we will remove or rectify the information within a reasonable time and in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
If we are processing personal data based on your consent, such as subscribing to the IGF Ireland mailing list, you may withdraw that consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing which took place prior to its withdrawal.
